Lovely Rimu Pounamu carved into small Hei Tiki pendants, carved locally.
Measurements:
26 mm length approx.

Passed through generations, the hei tiki is more than an ornament; it embodies ancestral connection, and symbolises fertility, prosperity, and protection. Believed to bestow strength of character, it guides the wearer towards loyalty, clarity, and keen perception. The sacred stone of Aotearoa. Pounamu of this beautiful land encompasses nephrite jade, serpentine, and tangiwai (bowenite). To the MÄori of New Zealand, Pounamu (greenstone) is more than just a stone, it is a taonga (treasure) woven into the spiritual and cultural fabric of their ancestors.
