Deeply woven into the fabric of MÄori lore, taniwha are mighty, mystical beings who serve as protectors and guides. When honoured and respected, they become fierce kaitiaki (guardians) not only of people but places as well. With the ability to shapeshift, in the water they could be sharks, whales, giant squids, while on land they could be dragon-like creatures forming a connection between the physical and spiritual worlds.Ā
Jasper is a red, green, or yellow variety of chalcedony, and is formed at low temperatures amongst volcanic rocks. Jasper is a calming stone and can help the wearer to feel at peace.
Comes with an adjustable cord and a jute drawstring bag.
